No. Each app works on its own. Together, Velvet Show controls the lights and Velvet Visualizer shows them in 3D before the show.
Velvet Show imports your MaestroDMX cue list into its timeline, then triggers those cues back on your Maestro via MIDI or OSC — so your lighting fires exactly on time during the set. MaestroDMX generates the Art-Net signal for your lights, and Velvet Visualizer receives it to display your fixtures in 3D in real time.
